Summer Ball is the ultimate end of year party which sees the University of Kent campus transform into a one-night-only festival with 3,000 students getting dressed up and coming together for amazing live music, street food, themed areas and so much more. It’s the biggest student party in the city and the only way to kick off the start of summer.

Summer Ball 2025 is taking place on Saturday 31 May from 18:00-02:00 and is held on the Canterbury campus of the University of Kent.

The Summer Ball site consists of a main open-air stage, a second stage, a garden area with DJ’s and bars, a food truck plaza, fairground games and rides and the 2-story, 1,200-person capacity nightclub, The Venue. The Summer Ball site is fully accessible.

The majority of Summer Ball attendees are students at the University of Kent. Guest tickets are also available for students from other universities, alumni and members of the public. Generally, students from all years of study attend Summer Ball, however there is usually a higher percentage of third year students attending as it is their final year of study and last party before graduation. All Summer Ball attendees must be over 18 years of age.
